Quick Update !

Evening Everyone, We got back from Barcelona last night.We had a 4 day shopping trip in this marvelous city.The christmas lights were amazing. My daughter, Sara,who works at the W hotel there manage to get the days off too,so it was a fabulous trip.She also has 10 days off now for christmas so we all flew back together last night.Marcos ,my son who lives in Birmingham is flying over on christmas eve,so we will all be together. A huge blessing ! l will be visiting you all over the next few days for a catch up ! Hugs Susan X

GDT spot !

Winter Colours...

Afternoon everyone Its been a busy week ! Sara has been over from Barcelona.Its been lovely having her home, she goes back on Monday,l will miss her.We are going over to Barcelona for a long weekend on the 16th,so get to see her again soon and plenty of shopping will be on the agenda too !Amanda had her 18th yesterday, she had a wonderful day and so did we all !... Not had time for alot of crafting this week,but finished a card that l had been working on.The side stepper card,sentiment and Stamp are all from 'Little Claire' ( see side bar for link )l have coloured the image using Fiskars Metalic Gel Pens,Watercolour pencils,and chalk for the background.l have used seam binding for the bow and nesti scalloped circle to mount the sentiment.l have kept the card simple with alot of white space...The challenges l am entering this card into are Little Claire, this month the theme is 'Shaped Cards'..Quirky Crafts, want to see 'Clean and Simple'...Bah!Humbug! want to see 'Fabric' (l am being a bit cheeky (ribbon) )...Creative Crafts have 'Free For All'...Creative Inspirations, They want us to use 'Winter Colours'...Over at OSAAT, they have the theme 'Anything Goes'...One Stop Crafts, want to see 'Blue' Wishing you all a lovely afternoon ...Hugs Susan xxx

Afternoon everyone, Sorry this is my first post of the week, but its been a bit hectic ! whats new ? hehe... This card l am sharing today features a Mo Manning image ( see side bar )l have used watercolour pencils and chalked the background. The DP's were a gift and the buttons, ribbon and blue pearls are all from my stash.. l had a birthday last sunday, its Amanda's 18th next week and Sara is flying home from Barcelona tomorrow for a 10 day holiday, can't wait ! Marcos and Sam all well and settling into their new house. Snowmen !

Good morning everyone from a very rainy Mallorca.Spain ! The last few days the weather has turned and we are actually on 'flood alert ' its not stopped raining. Very strong winds last night caused havoc too..l am not complaining hehe as its been a very hot, long summer so this is a welcome change ! The card today uses a topper from Kanban ,the paper was a gift from my friend Barbara.The ribbon & gold fabric star is from my stash and the glass beaded ,hanging charm was from the gift wrap of a perfume bottle..l am entering this into the challenge over at Bah!Humbug!, the theme this week is 'Snowmen'.. wishing you all a nice afternoon ! Sparkles

Hi everyone, The card l am sharing is a 6x6 white card blank.The image is from 'Mo Manning' ( please see side bar for link )l have coloured this lovely digi with watercolour pencils and used holographic mirri card ( for extra sparkle ) green glitter card and purple paper for layering and matting. El dia de todos los Santos !

Afternoon everyone, We had a great time last night, it was alot of fun ! Today, is a National holiday here in Spain.Its 'El dia de todos los Santos ' its the same as ' rememberence Sunday' and always falls on the 1st of November. Its a beautiful, warm day here and l had a 'power walk' ( trying to get off last nights huge meal at the restaurant ! ) this morning, l really enjoyed it ! l have made a christmas card this afternoon using some heart shaped dies and peel offs, that my friend Barbara kindly sent me. l have also used some mulberry paper, and 2 WOC roses, highlighted with gold stickles. Its a simple card, but l think we all need a few of these...l want to enter this into the challenge over at Bah!Humbug!, the theme this week is 'Die Cuts' wishing you all a nice afternoon...Hugs Susan x

Happy Halloween

Afternoon everyone, Happy Halloween to all those that enjoy these festivities !l must say l do decorate all the house and the garden. Tonight ,we are out for dinner in a nice restaurant. One of the owner's goes to town with the decorations and its normally a fun evening... A quick post today as l wanted to show another autumn themed card. l am so pleased that there have been alot of autumn/fall challenges as l love these colours and the autumn season .It always conjures up the idea of crunching through fallen leaves and the start to cosy evenings by the fire sipping hot chocolate and thinking about the wonderful start to the festive season ahead ! Unfortunately, l am sitting here now in a strappy top, bare feet and the sun is streaming through the windows!! Back from the UK !

Afternoon everyone, We had a fabulous time in the UK.It was lovely that we got to spend alot of quality time with my son ( Marcos ) and his GF ( Sam ) and of course little Bella.She is just as gorgeous as the last time l saw her,and still in charge !hehe..The weather was good ,so we could walk everywhere.We did alot of shopping mainly clothes and some early christmas shopping !We stayed right in the centre of Birmingham and our apartment was gorgeous.So all in all we had a great trip ! The card l am showing today is a Halloween Card..the witch image is from Mo Manning , l have coloured her using watercolour pencils. The design papers are a 'freebie' from Donna at Bearly Mine Designs..l had some purple card stock so used that too for layering .The card is a white 5x5,ribbon,pumpkin,bats and ghosts are from my stash.The spider stamp l got from Michaels for a dollar during one of my trips to SD.Gold stickles glue has been applied to highlight areas..l am going to enter this card into the following challenges..Charisma Cardz 'Anything Goes'..Allsorts want to see ' Halloween'..C.R.A.F.T They have a colour challenge this week ' Colour Savannah'..CYDA have the theme 'Halloween Colours'..Creative Inspirations they want to see 'Purple,Black & Orange'..Stamptacular Also have a colour theme 'Black,Purple,Orange & Scary'..ABC Challenges have 'B-for-Boo' as their theme.. wishing you all a nice evening ! Lets eat cake !

Hi all, Hope you are all having a good weekend ! We took Sara back to the airport this morning , we had a lovely three days,but it did pass very quickly..It wont be long till l see her again,in person and not just on skype ! We are going to Birmingham on thursday till tuesday, to see my son ,his GF and little bella ! They have just bought a new house, so we are all going to see it,sara is flying over too, so it will be really nice ! Time for a bit of christmas shopping too !! My card theme today is one that delights me hehe..cakes ! well, l love the two doggies too, but you get my drift... Most of these items used on this card are from my craft stash. l have decoupaged the table and the brown dog.The bow is made from seam binding. O little town of Bethlehem

Evening everyone, Its a national holiday over here in Spain,the 'Dia del Pilar' so my family and my sister's family got together along with some english friends that are here on holiday..we had a lovely paella for lunch at a very nice restaurant along the seafront ! What made it nice and special was that Sara ( my daughter ) flew over from Barcelona this morning, she is here till saturday.Its so lovely to have her home for a few days..to spoil her ! hehe This card l am showing today was made using materials from my prize from 'Little Claire', See side bar for link. l coloured the the image with watercolour pencils.l used the chunky glitter & some gold and diamond stickles glue. The DP is from my stash as is the ribbon and little blue pearls. Ink it up ink pad was used for stamping the image and distressing the edges.The script was from my stash.The inside has some more of the DP and a sentiment from Little Claire.l want to enter this card into the following challenges..Bah!Humbug!,the theme is 'Glitz and Glitter'..Little Claire monthly challenge, have the theme of 'Christmas'..Over at Sparkles Forum Christmas challenge,the theme this month is 'Christmas Songs', l thought 'O little town of Bethlehem' would be fitting.. The witching hour !

Hi everyone, Hope you all had a nice weekend.Weather seemed to cool down a bit on saturday, but today the temperatures are soaring again and tomorrow even hotter ! We have had a very long, hot summer ! So it would be so nice if it cooled down once and for all so it begins to feel like Autumn...l am Starting to get the halloween decorations out this week. l love halloween ,and l am really enjoying making cards and treat bags etc..The card l am showing today is a 8x8 card, the DP was a freebie and l wished l could remember the blog that it came from last year, so l could give it a mention if anyone knows,please let me know..Basic black paper for matting.Purple stazon ink pad for distressing the edges.Lavender and gold stickles.Promarkers, water colour pencils and fiskars glitter and metalic pens were used colouring these two cute images from Lyn at Dragonsmoore ( also see side bar for Link ) .Both these images were Freebies offered by Lyn,so please pop over to her place and see what Lyn has been up to ! Afternoon everyone, A black and white card from me today.l had a play with the cuttlebug using 2 of the labels 1 and a scalloped circle. The base card is from Little Claire's ( see my sidebar for link ) as is the sentiment..The lovely Polka dot ribbon is from my lovely friend Barbara,along with the black and white , flowered vellium.l have coloured some opal pearls with a black promarker just to continue the black and white colour scheme..l have also cut out some flowers from the vellium using my EK success punch to put on the inside of the card..l want to enter this card into the challenge over at Little Claire's their theme this month is Black and White.. Hi All, Hope everyone is having a nice weekend ? l have had a busy day today.l took myself off for a two hour walk along the coast,glad l did it early though, as the temperatures were peaking around noon.We had lunch at home today and my sister and her family popped in for a cup of tea afterwards. They have just left, so here l am hehehe The card today is a blue A5. Backing paper is from Making Memories ' Springtime ',the darker green paper a gift,Silver mirri card,Charm from a local jewellery store.All ribbons,flowers and blue pearls are from my stash. Need some help ..please !

Morning all, l am in need of some help...it appears l can leave comments on some blogs and not on others ! it asks me to choose a 'profile' to be able to leave the comment.From the list available,l have tried 'google account' as nothing else is valid, it then redirects for me to sign in, which l do ( again and again ) and then redirects me back to the comment box, and l still can't post !! and the whole procedure starts again .Can anyone help me out ? its so frustrating ! l looked at 'blogger help ' and it seems that alot of people have had this problem too.. So l am sorry if you have not been left comments by me on your lovely creations, l have been visiting and catching up! Hugs Susan x

Hi everyone !

l have been a terrible blogger of late. All those good intentions l had at the beginning of the year have somehow gone by the wayside.l have had a very busy summer so far, and l have just returned from Barcelona. Had a fab time there and thoroughly enjoyed soaking up all the atmosphere etc..Sara my daughter is now working there , so it was a busy week looking for a flatshare. She found one that is really nice, very clean and modern.More importantly, its a safe building ! We have more family coming over for the whole month of August, so its going to be hectic ! l am going to be visiting you all during the following week and seeing what you have all been up to ... Morning everyone !

Hi everyone ! Always seems that l am rushing around...l can't remember the last time l sat down and started and finished a card in one go ! l have had family over from the UK.Also, helping Amanda with revision for her finals..results are through this afternoon ! Sara has her visa application being processed now for the US,so we have been searching the lists for a flat share in San Diego and trying to set up appointments for next month...But ! l have managed to complete my card for the Kinetic theme over at the Bah!Humbug! christmas card challenge...l have used a 12x12 sheet of K&Co Swell Noel . l love this stack of beautiful design papers..the silver glitter and red ribbon are from my stash... wishing you all a lovely morning !

Mr Muscleman !

Evening everyone, This particular card is made for my nephew/Godson..He is entering into a 'Mr Muscle' competition here in Mallorca. There will be about a 1000 people attending and is a very important event ! Its difficult enough finding images and DP's for this type of sport. So l roped in a few CB forum friends and after alot of searching was sent these papers and image sheets. l have used them all LOL ! Waste not Want not hehehe...l have used a aperture card, acetate, gold mirri card for matting and decoupaged all the images....l am entering this card into the following challenges...Cards For Men , The theme over there is 'Someone Special '...Over at Pollycraft Challenge, the theme is 'Boyz-to-Men'... Onto the card for today ....Over at Bah!Humbug!, the theme this week is 'Pleats / Ruffles'..So l have decided to go with a colour scheme of Lilac on a cream DL card.Image and sentiment are from Kanban and l have used gold mirri card for matting and the purple dots DP / pearls / and little ruffled flower are all from my stash ..simple little card, but l think its quite effective.So sorry for the dark pic, but the weather here today has been so dreary and stormy .. wishing you all a lovely evening ..Hugs Susan x

Congratulations Kate and Will !

Having a fabulous day watching all the wonderful festivities of the Royal wedding ..What a beautiful wedding it was too ! She looked stunning and so did William. They looked so inlove and Happy...It was truly a Fairytale wedding..l am still enjoying all the coverage and interviews etc...l wish them lots of luck and thank God lessons have been learnt by the royal family ! No crafting for me today, just enjoying a gloriously , happy day ! Nice to be able to forget the horrible state the world is in at the moment , least for a while ! Hugs Susan x

Decoupaged Card

Hi everyone , This card has 7 layers of decoupage !The decoupage sheet and BP was sent to me from a lovely forum friend over at Crafts Beautiful ! l enjoyed doing this card and l have inked up the edges with a gold ink pad..l have also decorated the inside of the card with the same DP..l am entering this into the challenge over at OSAAT the theme this week is 'Father's Day / Sports Day ' ..Over at Creative Inspirations, they want to see projects with 'Pets or Animals ' this is my 2nd card for this challenge.. Love these little cuties !

Hope everyone has had a lovely Easter ? The weather over here in Mallorca certainly was a let down for the poor tourists ! We have had a very dreary,grey skied easter break. We didnt have any plans for this easter, so we were no bothered too much by the down turn of the weather.Infact, l managed to get quite a few cards completed, so it was a bonus. This card features a topper & papers from the country companions range. l have used a nestie frame sent to me from a dear friend on the CB forum The little silver beads and ribbon are from my stash and all the flowers are from WOC..l am entering this card into the following challenges...Sparkles forum challenge the theme is ' Anything goes '...Over at C.R.A.F.T , They want to see ' Flowers '...At Creative Inspirations , The theme is ' Pets / Animals '...At the Prairie fairy fridays the theme this time is ' Flowers &/or April showers...Craft us Crazy still have the theme running of ' Thinking of you / animals ...Hugs Susan x

Hi everyone !

Its been a while since l updated...had a few health issues going on and then to top it all last friday had to go to hospital to have a wisdom tooth out..l was in agony ! but l do feel so much better now. l have been making a few cards and l will be getting back into the challenges and visiting you all soon.. This afternoon sara arrives home from Andorra, where she has been working this past 6 months.l am so pleased to have her back home..So we are going to pick her up at the airport this afternoon.. well, l have made a start at getting back into blogging, lets hope l can keep it up and my next post will be to show a card and enter some of the challenges.. wishing you a lovely day and Happy crafting ! Great News !

Morning everyone, Just an update..... Tomorrow Amanda and l are flying off to Barcelona to see the Justin Bieber Concert in the evening ! Yes , l know l am a bit of an ' old teenybopper ' heheh but l thoroughly enjoyed his first concert in Birmingham Uk last month, it was Amazing !It was so great to see so many youngsters and their families having a wonderful time altogether..12.000 people and NO VIOLENCE ! Priceless !!! Anyway ... The fantastic news is....Amanda has been notified that she has won a ' Meet and Greet ' with him..l rang her this morning at school and told her the news...talk about Hysteria !!! hehehe she was crying !..l am delighted for her...There's only one problem l can forsee..because she booked and paid for my ticket this time and its in the 'standing zone '..she just may now be given a fab seat in the VIP zone !!!! and me ? well, looks like l will be swaying around with all the youngsters...Good job l know all the words to the songs...hehehe Baby,Baby , Baby oh....hehehe See you all on thursday when we fly back ..Happy crafting everyone ! Afternoon everyone !

Hope all the british mum's had a lovely Mothers Day yesterday ! l had a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers and a gorgeous silver bracelet with MUM charms and 2 hearts from amanda as a special something ..bless her X . We also had a nice meal out too. l was very lucky as Marcos ( my son ) flew over from the UK for a few days , so it was the icing on the cake.. l finished off a large card today for the challenge over at Mo's DP Challenge , they want to see 'Buttons and Bows' l have used an image from Mo's ' Bunches ' l just love her !l have coloured her with my watercolour pencils & chalks for the background,backing papers are from Making Memories 'Spring Fling'Silver mirri card for matting, buttons and ribbon from my stash.EK sucess flower punch for the 2 layered flower. Lavender ink pad for edging the flower and card.Little rose bud is from my stash.l also stamped and heat embossed 2 of the corners using ' sparkle' powder from Personal Impressions...Over at Allsorts Challenge, they want to see 'Bloomin-Blossoms'...At the Sparkles Forum Challenge They want to see ' Springtime'.... Over at The Crafty Pad , the theme is ' Flowers ' .... Slowly but surely !

Hi everyone, l am finally getting back into crafting again.Having lots of ideas too, which is a blessing.l have just been making the cards ,as and when l need them.Its certainly not been as much fun as having a creative idea, and getting stuck in and watching it unfold. Weather beautiful here so l have been doing a lot of walking .The season is starting to get underway and its nice to see all the little bars, restaurants & hotels open. So ,onto the card that l am entering this week into the challenge over at Bah!Humbug! , they would like to see 'christmas Trees'..The little tree tutorial can be found over at Ann 's blog from the Bah!Humbug! DT.She kindly gave us the ' how to 'last year and l so loved making these little tree's and used them often on last years christmas cards..The papers and little embellishments are from my stash and so is the ribbon.Used chalks to colour the circular frame. Its nice to be back in the challenges again..Hugs Susan x

Apologies !

Hi everyone, So sorry for not updating till now.. We had a fab time in the UK, although it was basically for one day. The Justin Bieber concert in Birmingham was fantastic ! So were the support acts.My son Marcos got the day off and stayed with us till we went to the concert, l was so pleased. We arrived Thursday evening and had all day Friday. We left at 6.30am on Saturday to travel home. l just haven't felt like crafting since coming back, it always seems to happen when l go away somewhere.l am starting to get back into it,slowly, and hope this week to start back with the blog challenges.. l will be visiting your blogs to see what you have all been up to in the next few days .. wishing you all a lovely afternoon ! Justin Bieber Concert !!

Hi everyone, So sorry that l have not been posting this week or entering into the challenges..Time has just took over, plus being half term here, Amanda and l have been out and about. Tonight, we have been packing some things as we are off tomorrow to the UK..We have tickets for the Justin Bieber concert in Birmingham on Friday night..Amanda is so excited !!!the long wait is finally coming to an end hehehe..l must admit, l am also really looking forward to it too hehe..l can only imagine the noise level at the concert will be deafening !! LOL..it will bring back those fantastic memories of the Bay City Rollers!! We want to try and see the JB film too ' Never say Never ', we will fly back here on Saturday, so l will do a bit of catching up in Blogland , on Sunday ! Bah! Humbug ! Challenge

Afternoon everyone, Well thats exactly how l felt this week, when l heard we had to use a CD /DVD over at Bah!Humbug!..l was thinking of missing this week, but came up with an idea..l have used a CD and used some 'Bubble Paint' and heated it up.l sprinkled over some glitter to add a more of an icy look to it..The topper was sent to me and everything else was from my stash.. Angel of Peace !

Hi everyone, Hope everyone is having a nice weekend...l have been doing quite a bit of colouring this week, and decided to use this beautiful Angel of Peace digi by Mo Manning ( please see sidebar for details of Mo's shop )l have coloured her with watercolour pencils and tried to create an irredescent look .l used chalk to shade the background.Green and blue glitter card, also mirri card were all used for the matting.Pearls and ribbon are from my stash,and flowers are from WOC... l am entering this card into the following challenges..Mo's Digital Challenge , the theme this week is a 'Sketch'...Over at Crafts and Me , the theme is ' Things with Wings ' ...At Creative Card World, They want to see 'A Square Card'...Cute Card Thursday, The theme over there is 'Shiny Happy Cards' Sending everyone a big hug !
