Hearts

Evening everyone, l have had some great news !  Firstly, l was lucky enough to have been drawn for a 'Tilda' stamp  from Bev Rochester's blog...Then , l made top three on the Prairie Fairy challenge, and won a digi from their store...and this afternoon l found out that l got 3rd place & GD spot over at Quirky Crafts challenge blog..  all links to these blogs can be found on my sidebar...l am so pleased !
Complete change in the weather here on the island..we have had some snow on the mountains at 700 mtr's and tonight its forecast for 400 mtrs..its been very cold,dark and windy today, looks like its in for the next few days.l love this type of weather, and  we have had lots of  nice warm days for several months,so a change was on the cards at some point..
The card l am sharing today, is for a 25th wedding anniversary.l have made an easel card and used  silver mirri, pearls, silver beads and cut some hearts out. The little verse was out of a booklet of vellums that someone had sent me ages ago. l tore the edges and attached using the bead and pearl to cover the glue. The pretty paper was one l have had for a while. l also added a couple of little rings and a senitment 'To the one l love'..l am entering this card into the following challenges....  Wishing you all a lovely evening ! Great News !

Morning everyone, Just an update..... Tomorrow Amanda and l are flying off to Barcelona to see the Justin Bieber Concert in the evening ! Yes , l know l am a bit of an ' old teenybopper ' heheh but l thoroughly enjoyed his first concert in Birmingham Uk last month, it was Amazing !It was so great to see so many youngsters and their families having a wonderful time altogether..12.000 people and NO VIOLENCE ! Priceless !!! Anyway ... The fantastic news is....Amanda has been notified that she has won a ' Meet and Greet ' with him..l rang her this morning at school and told her the news...talk about Hysteria !!! hehehe she was crying !..l am delighted for her...There's only one problem l can forsee..because she booked and paid for my ticket this time and its in the 'standing zone '..she just may now be given a fab seat in the VIP zone !!!! and me ? well, looks like l will be swaying around with all the youngsters...Good job l know all the words to the songs...hehehe Baby,Baby , Baby oh....hehehe See you all on thursday when we fly back ..Happy crafting everyone ! Afternoon everyone !

Hope all the british mum's had a lovely Mothers Day yesterday ! l had a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers and a gorgeous silver bracelet with MUM charms and 2 hearts from amanda as a special something ..bless her X . We also had a nice meal out too. l was very lucky as Marcos ( my son ) flew over from the UK for a few days , so it was the icing on the cake.. l finished off a large card today for the challenge over at Mo's DP Challenge , they want to see 'Buttons and Bows' l have used an image from Mo's ' Bunches ' l just love her !l have coloured her with my watercolour pencils & chalks for the background,backing papers are from Making Memories 'Spring Fling'Silver mirri card for matting, buttons and ribbon from my stash.EK sucess flower punch for the 2 layered flower. Lavender ink pad for edging the flower and card.Little rose bud is from my stash.l also stamped and heat embossed 2 of the corners using ' sparkle' powder from Personal Impressions...Over at Allsorts Challenge, they want to see 'Bloomin-Blossoms'...At the Sparkles Forum Challenge They want to see ' Springtime'.... Over at The Crafty Pad , the theme is ' Flowers ' .... Blue and Green should never be seen ?.. No Way !

Hi everyone... Hope everyone had a lovely Valentines Day ! Last week over Mo's challenge blog l was a' winner ' !! l was delighted when l checked back and saw that my number had been picked out..My Prize ? well, here she is...Its 'Bunches' and if you have fallen in love with her, like l did, then take a look at my sidebar for details of Mo's stamp store...l so enjoyed colouring this image and making this card !... l used blue and green glittered card, silver mirri card,blue pearls snd silver balls & Ribbon all from my stash. EK success flower punch and a small heart punch. l coloured the image with watercolour pencils (Milan) and chalks..l am entering this card into the following challenges...MO's Digital Challenge , the theme is 'Valentine/Love non tradition colours ' ..The Crafty Pad ,this week they have 'Hearts' as their theme...Over at One Stop Craft Challenge , The theme this week is 'Love is in the air '..SSDS also have 'Love is in the air ' as the theme this week ....Delightful challenges wants you to get ' Punchy '... Little Christmas Tree's !

Hi everyone, Over the weekend l found these little 'Origami' style tree's featured on Ann's lovely blog.She has also given step by step instructions, very easy to follow ! As you can see l have had a little go at this...its very addictive ! l am thinking of using these on some cards and as a little banner across the kitchen window,which l will make using gold and red papers...Pop over to see how easy it is to make them..l have even got my girls involved ... Afternoon ladies !

Sorry everyone for not being around much, its been a hectic week, or better said, couple of weeks... l am behind with entering in some challenges, so l will have to make a fresh start next week. One challenge that l am definately going to keep up with is on the Bah!Humbug! challenge blog.This weeks theme is ' TREES ' pop over and have a look at whats going on...and see the DT´s beautiful work ! Cold and windy here today, so going to try and get some cards started and finish reading the Crafts Beautiful Mag,inside there is a small pic of me and my family,( less my son, as he was taking the pic ) taken in NY a few years back, really need to up date my profile pic hehe...It was nice being Member of the Month ( February) and l wore my tiara with pride !l also won the CB competition for ' Spring Tags ', l was very surprised and of course delighted !.. Friday 13th ! unlucky ? or maybe not !!

Its my BIRTHDAY !!! Having a lovely day, got lots of cards and pressy´s this morning, and lovely bouquet of my fav flowers from hubby.Went into town and had a coffee and sandwich with my sister, which was very nice !Marcos, my son also joined us, and he paid ! Having my sister and my nieces around later this afternoon to have some cake and a cup of tea, with me, Sara and Amanda . Tomorrow we are all going out for lunch as everyone will be free to come along !..l got some lovely cards and RAK´s from my crafting friends over on the CB forum,l will post a proper thank you to them later this evening.. Hope everyone is having a nice day ! X UPDATE !! Certainly been a lucky day so far ! Guess what , just popped over to "Stamp Something" and l have won a prize from MO´s Digital Pencil, its a $20 gift certificate ! l am thrilled ! thank you X

Afternoon all....

Sara in pink at seaworld june 09 SDSU Thanks everyone who has left me a comment,much appreciated ! well,things are settling down now,we still have lots of work,but the stress side of things concerning our workers is sorting itself out.We had to get rid of workers not a nice experience.There were a few that needed to go anyway.We made big changes to our business,and for once thought of ourselves for once and our future ! We offered them work as long as they paid their own insurance,and thats what some of them have done. Now onto a great note....My son Marcos has paid for flights for Amanda and l, to go to San Diego and visit Sara...Sara has been studying at SDSU this semester and now has a summer internship at the Hyatt Hotel and will now be back here in September..Marcos knew how much l was missing her,even though we speak on Skype every few days.So Amanda and l are off the day after she finishes school on the 22nd of june ( 23rd June till the 4th of july YIPPPEEE !..Paco (my hubby ) cant come this trip as we have so much work,and of course he can be company for Marcos and the dog !!hehe.... Sara has been asking if we could get back over before September, so she will be so surprised this evening when l tell her we are booked to come !... Well, Amanda doesn´t have much homework today,so we are off for a bike ride ! Take care everyone ! X

CraftyCharl over on the CB forum sent me this mag the other day..what a lovely,kind lady..l am so grateful,its difficult to get crafting mags over here...and taking out subscriptions is so expensive, especially when there are so many magazines to choose from....its so nice reading all the articles...Charl also sent me all the other bits in the pic too....Thank you so much Charl !
