GD Card

Morning everyone,

We had  more snow fall here on the island over the weekend.. and more due today ! its certainly cold enough..

The card I am sharing today is for my GD spot at Quirky Craft  Challenges, the theme this time is 'Quirky Love Story ' ( with ribbons and a charm ) .My base card is a white 6x6 .I have used this fun digi image from 'Robin's Fetish' , called 'I toadily Luv You '. Which was very kindly offered to me from Quirky Crafts to use for this  challenge..l have coloured with water colour pencils and fiskars metalic pens.l used red stickles to paint her nails and bow hehe..Sparkle mirri card and plain white card was used to layer and matt and the red satin ,  lime ,yellow red hearts ribbons are all from my stash along with the heart charm and DP's...

Flowers and Hearts

Hi everyone,

Sorry l have not updated for a few days but l am taking on that 'Big Task' of re-organising my craftspace and sorting boxes, and boxes and yet more boxes...Phew ! Never knew l had so much stuff stored away.In one way its good to have a sort out,because l have found some lovely things that l had forgotten l had...
The card l am sharing today is based on the theme of 'Love'. The DP is  from the Frou Frou  paper pad from kanban , as is the base card. The satin ribbon and little hearts & beads are  from my stash. l have used silver mirri card to create a frame for the image and paper. Crystal stickles was used to highlight the flowers..

Little Gift Box

Today  l am showing a hand made gift box.  The image is from Roberta over at Prairie Fairy Designs . I  won top 3 last week, so l could chose a digi from the store.I chose this fun little image,matted it onto some pink card stock and coloured it with coloured pencils, fiskars metalic / glitter pens, and chalked the back ground.The flowers are decoupaged and l have layered the two butterflies twice to give the feel that they are fluttering.l have added  lavender stickles to the wings and the centre of the flowers.I am entering this box into the following challenges..

Male Card

Afternoon everyone,
Cold, rainy day here today. l spoke with my daughter who lives in Barcelona,and she said its very cold and wet there too...Looks like we are all going to be having a very cold weekend, perfect for crafting !
Very simple card from me today.The base is a white, 5x5.l have used some red card stock to matt the DP and then decoupaged the image and matted onto brown and white card stock. The sentiment is from kanban and  raised up on foam pads. l have used a piece of the DP and decorated the inside too. Wishing you all a lovely afternoon...Hugs Susan x

Whimsical Neighbourhood !

Afternoon everyone,

Its got very chilly again, and we have a sprinkling of snow on the mountains ! I took a pic this morning from the car , not a good pic , sorry ! we often get snow in the winter months, but it never lasts very long and doesn't cause any problems as its mainly on the mountains and higher ground.We are in for more on Thursday..I love it !

The card l am sharing today, has another digi from Lyn  (spider)  her digi store can be found at Dragonsmoore, I have used this image before on a halloween card,so its very versatile and was a freebie.I have coloured it with promarkers and pencils. I have added some stickles glitter glue,to give it a fun feel ! The  butterflies are recycled and I have applied glue and different coloured Cosmic Glitters. l have added some little flowers and gems..The satin ribbon and papers are all from my stash.Its a large 8x8 card ....l am entering this card into the following challenges..

Hearts

Evening everyone, l have had some great news !  Firstly, l was lucky enough to have been drawn for a 'Tilda' stamp  from Bev Rochester's blog...Then , l made top three on the Prairie Fairy challenge, and won a digi from their store...and this afternoon l found out that l got 3rd place & GD spot over at Quirky Crafts challenge blog..  all links to these blogs can be found on my sidebar...l am so pleased !
Complete change in the weather here on the island..we have had some snow on the mountains at 700 mtr's and tonight its forecast for 400 mtrs..its been very cold,dark and windy today, looks like its in for the next few days.l love this type of weather, and  we have had lots of  nice warm days for several months,so a change was on the cards at some point..
The card l am sharing today, is for a 25th wedding anniversary.l have made an easel card and used  silver mirri, pearls, silver beads and cut some hearts out. The little verse was out of a booklet of vellums that someone had sent me ages ago. l tore the edges and attached using the bead and pearl to cover the glue. The pretty paper was one l have had for a while. l also added a couple of little rings and a senitment 'To the one l love'..l am entering this card into the following challenges....  Wishing you all a lovely evening ! Afternoon Everyone !

Its a beautiful day here in Mallorca.As soon as I have finished this post I am going to have a lovely walk along the coast road and enjoy the afternoon sunshine.

The card I am sharing today,is a 5x5 base card in pastel pink and a piece of white card stock to matt the paper..I have had the bit of lace and velvet ribbon, in my stash for ages, so thought I would add it to this card.I have decoupaged the image with 1 layer and applied a row of pearls to the hat.The paper and roses are from my stash. l would like to enter this card into the following challenges...

Happy Birthday Javier !

I made this card for my nephew .He will be 25 on tuesday.he loves fast cars, so l thought this would be a good choice. l printed out a sheet of images from 'The Big One' CD  the category was ' Pile Up '. I have used all the images. The DP was a gift from a friend..The front image has been decoupaged using 3 layers on the bottom part, then I mounted it onto thick mirri board ( crushed ice ).Inside the card l have mounted the sentiment and the smaller decoupaged image onto the same mirri board.  The challenges I am entering into are...

Shell Seekers..

Afternoon everyone, l was looking through my shell collection from my travels and thought it would be nice to use a few on a card...So the card l am sharing today is an easel shaped card, the 3 papers are all new and sent to me by my lovely friend Barbara as is the image, so sorry l cant give any details. The rafia is from my stash..l would like to enter this card into the following challenges... First christmas card of 2012

First card of the New Year

Hi everyone, The card l am showing today is a little cutesy one. Its decoupaged with up to three layers.It was fun putting it together and l love the faces of these little characters. Plain lilac card blank and the sentiment are from my stash. Feliz Navidad !

Hi everyone, Hope you are all enjoying the start of a new year. Its christmas day here ! No, I haven't gone mad ...well,not yet anyway hehe Its the 'The three Kings day ' here in Spain, rather like our Christmas Day. So we are still enjoying christmas festivites.l still have all the decorations and tree up ! They shall come down ( grudgingly) this weekend. Last night was the 3 kings parade and after the kiddies get their pressy's.When the children were younger we use to have all the main presents on Christmas Day and then smaller things were all wrapped and placed in a box for each of them,which were later delivered to the house by a horse drawn cart and the Kings helpers...very magical l can tell you ! here are a few pics from the parade last night...Wishing you all a lovely evening ! Quick Update !

Evening Everyone, We got back from Barcelona last night.We had a 4 day shopping trip in this marvelous city.The christmas lights were amazing. My daughter, Sara,who works at the W hotel there manage to get the days off too,so it was a fabulous trip.She also has 10 days off now for christmas so we all flew back together last night.Marcos ,my son who lives in Birmingham is flying over on christmas eve,so we will all be together. A huge blessing ! l will be visiting you all over the next few days for a catch up ! Hugs Susan X

GDT spot !

Good morning everyone, Hope you all had a nice weekend..l was delighted to have been invited to have a Guest Designer Spot over at Quirky Craft Challenges, their theme this time is 'Snow'..l was sent a lovely image and sentiment from Limited Runs Stamps to use on my card.l decided on an 8X8 card blank,l used 'crushed ice' mirri card,watercolour pencils and fiskars metalic gel pens,paper was a gift,clear stones, blue pearls and silver ribbon are from my stash.Printed out the images and then ran it through the cuttlebug using the swiss dots embossing folder.I used some snippets of the same for the corners. l also used some scallopped nesties for layering up the images..If you look closely the dots have actually created eyes for the snowman hehee..Hope you all have a nice day..Hugs Susan x Challenges l am entering ...ABC Challenge, Embossing..2 Sisters, Punches and Dies..Charisma challenges, Seeing Spots..Crafty Catz Colours fo Christmas..Crafty creations, Christmas/Sentiments..OSAAT Be A Square...One Stop Crafts Let It Snow...Over at Prairie Fairy Friday Challenges, the theme is Beat the Blues

Winter Colours...

Afternoon everyone Its been a busy week ! Sara has been over from Barcelona.Its been lovely having her home, she goes back on Monday,l will miss her.We are going over to Barcelona for a long weekend on the 16th,so get to see her again soon and plenty of shopping will be on the agenda too !Amanda had her 18th yesterday, she had a wonderful day and so did we all !... Not had time for alot of crafting this week,but finished a card that l had been working on.The side stepper card,sentiment and Stamp are all from 'Little Claire' ( see side bar for link )l have coloured the image using Fiskars Metalic Gel Pens,Watercolour pencils,and chalk for the background.l have used seam binding for the bow and nesti scalloped circle to mount the sentiment.l have kept the card simple with alot of white space...The challenges l am entering this card into are Little Claire, this month the theme is 'Shaped Cards'..Quirky Crafts, want to see 'Clean and Simple'...Bah!Humbug! want to see 'Fabric' (l am being a bit cheeky (ribbon) )...Creative Crafts have 'Free For All'...Creative Inspirations, They want us to use 'Winter Colours'...Over at OSAAT, they have the theme 'Anything Goes'...One Stop Crafts, want to see 'Blue' Wishing you all a lovely afternoon ...Hugs Susan xxx

Afternoon everyone, Sorry this is my first post of the week, but its been a bit hectic ! whats new ? hehe... This card l am sharing today features a Mo Manning image ( see side bar )l have used watercolour pencils and chalked the background. The DP's were a gift and the buttons, ribbon and blue pearls are all from my stash.. l had a birthday last sunday, its Amanda's 18th next week and Sara is flying home from Barcelona tomorrow for a 10 day holiday, can't wait ! Marcos and Sam all well and settling into their new house. Snowmen !

Good morning everyone from a very rainy Mallorca.Spain ! The last few days the weather has turned and we are actually on 'flood alert ' its not stopped raining. Very strong winds last night caused havoc too..l am not complaining hehe as its been a very hot, long summer so this is a welcome change ! The card today uses a topper from Kanban ,the paper was a gift from my friend Barbara.The ribbon & gold fabric star is from my stash and the glass beaded ,hanging charm was from the gift wrap of a perfume bottle..l am entering this into the challenge over at Bah!Humbug!, the theme this week is 'Snowmen'.. wishing you all a nice afternoon ! Sparkles

Hi everyone, The card l am sharing is a 6x6 white card blank.The image is from 'Mo Manning' ( please see side bar for link )l have coloured this lovely digi with watercolour pencils and used holographic mirri card ( for extra sparkle ) green glitter card and purple paper for layering and matting. El dia de todos los Santos !

Afternoon everyone, We had a great time last night, it was alot of fun ! Today, is a National holiday here in Spain.Its 'El dia de todos los Santos ' its the same as ' rememberence Sunday' and always falls on the 1st of November. Its a beautiful, warm day here and l had a 'power walk' ( trying to get off last nights huge meal at the restaurant ! ) this morning, l really enjoyed it ! l have made a christmas card this afternoon using some heart shaped dies and peel offs, that my friend Barbara kindly sent me. l have also used some mulberry paper, and 2 WOC roses, highlighted with gold stickles. Its a simple card, but l think we all need a few of these...l want to enter this into the challenge over at Bah!Humbug!, the theme this week is 'Die Cuts' wishing you all a nice afternoon...Hugs Susan x

Happy Halloween

Afternoon everyone, Happy Halloween to all those that enjoy these festivities !l must say l do decorate all the house and the garden. Tonight ,we are out for dinner in a nice restaurant. One of the owner's goes to town with the decorations and its normally a fun evening... A quick post today as l wanted to show another autumn themed card. l am so pleased that there have been alot of autumn/fall challenges as l love these colours and the autumn season .It always conjures up the idea of crunching through fallen leaves and the start to cosy evenings by the fire sipping hot chocolate and thinking about the wonderful start to the festive season ahead ! Unfortunately, l am sitting here now in a strappy top, bare feet and the sun is streaming through the windows!! Its been a very hot, long summer and it is still not letting up !! phew, l can't wait for a change hehehe....This card was made using all my left over autumn bits and pieces from my stash.I am entering this card into the challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenges The theme over there is ' Leaves '..Over at Charisma Cardz, their theme this week is 'Anything Goes'...CYDA ,have the theme of 'Autumn' ..Quirky Crafts , want to see 'Autumn Leaves'.. Evening everyone, Just a quick post from me.I hope everyone is well and enjoying their evening.The card here was made using a 5x5 card blank.The DP's are from my stash.The wooden embellishment was part of a set from a poundland shop.l have also used gold stickles,gold mirri card, the brown ribbon and button are from my stash. Back from the UK !

Afternoon everyone, We had a fabulous time in the UK.It was lovely that we got to spend alot of quality time with my son ( Marcos ) and his GF ( Sam ) and of course little Bella.She is just as gorgeous as the last time l saw her,and still in charge !hehe..The weather was good ,so we could walk everywhere.We did alot of shopping mainly clothes and some early christmas shopping !We stayed right in the centre of Birmingham and our apartment was gorgeous.So all in all we had a great trip ! The card l am showing today is a Halloween Card..the witch image is from Mo Manning , l have coloured her using watercolour pencils. The design papers are a 'freebie' from Donna at Bearly Mine Designs..l had some purple card stock so used that too for layering .The card is a white 5x5,ribbon,pumpkin,bats and ghosts are from my stash.The spider stamp l got from Michaels for a dollar during one of my trips to SD.Gold stickles glue has been applied to highlight areas..l am going to enter this card into the following challenges..Charisma Cardz 'Anything Goes'..Allsorts want to see ' Halloween'..C.R.A.F.T They have a colour challenge this week ' Colour Savannah'..CYDA have the theme 'Halloween Colours'..Creative Inspirations they want to see 'Purple,Black & Orange'..Stamptacular Also have a colour theme 'Black,Purple,Orange & Scary'..ABC Challenges have 'B-for-Boo' as their theme.. wishing you all a nice evening !
